Iroquois acquired Community Care Solutions (“CCS”) in early 2014. CCS, partners with rural hospitals to implement comprehensive pain management programs, treating patients with chronic pain. CCS brings comprehensive pain management and interventional pain management services to community hospitals. There are many people in outlying communities that suffer from chronic pain who may not be willing or able to travel to large cities for treatment. Treatment options for patients in their hometown, at their community hospital, by physicians and nurse practitioners they know, has been a positive experience for the local populations and for the serving facilities and physicians.
Iroquois was attracted to this company and opportunity because it was in a space and a market we know well – the healthcare industry. We saw this as an opportunity to get into a space where businesses could partner with doctors of rural community hospitals. There was a need for more pain providers in these local area hospitals and CCS was working to change this. With an already established track record of success, Iroquois identified this as an attractive opportunity and potential for success.
